We thought we would make this page to make your decisions about how to travel and where to stay in the area of Nürburg that little bit easier. On here you will find info on who we recommend travelling to the Nürburgring with. You will also find details of the best hotels and also places we have stayed.
Every year we travel via the Eurotunnel. It costs more than a ticket on a ferry, but you get into Calais a lot quicker, taking only 35 minutes to cross the channel, and in the comfort of your own car. It all depends on when you are travelling, but we usually get a train around 8:00am. Tickets for us usually comes to around £120 for one car including all passengers, return.
We have never travelled to Germany via boat, but we can still recommend it! It takes longer to cross the channel, but you can walk around the Ferry, grab a bite to eat or even better, grab a refreshing pint during the crossing. Price of travelling on a Ferry compared to the train is cheaper. You will probably save around £50-60. So if you would prefer to travel with a little break inbetween, to enjoy the scenery of the crossing over to Calais, we recommend giving it a try.
